The powerful Marghazi “Thirupalli Ezhuchi” pooja!


Iraniyur Sri Aatkondanathar Sivapurandevi Thirukkovil, Sri Neelamega Perumal-Kanagavalli Thayar Thirukkovil, and Sri Bhadrakali Amman Thirukkovil present a yearly special pooja known as “Thirupalli Ezhuchi” in the Tamil month of margazhi for all the 29 days.


Devotees who are interested to take part in the pooja can pay the required amount of INR 600 in the temple’s bank account. For all those who take part in the pooja, special archana in their name will be done on the desired day and also the Prasad will be sent through post.


Prior registrations are necessary for all those who want to participate in the pooja directly. Revel in the absolute divinity as you immerse yourself in the heavenly Thirupalli Ezhuchi.

Kubera Pooja

On the day of Pradosham, Lord Kubera, the close friend of Lord Shiva is worshipped with special poojas. According to the legend, Kubera logam (Yakshagar world) is nearby the Shiva's logam (Kailaayam) and Kuberar likes to do Shiva pooja. It is believed that number 5 is auspicious for Kuberar, therefore people do Kubera pooja with 5 rupee coins, devotees offer milk as prasadham to Goddess Lakshmi in order to improve mind power and to promote peace. It is also believed that lighting lamp in front of the Lord’s shrine will remove the bad vibration in our minds.

Donate for the upliftment of the temple and improvement of the quality of everyday poojas. Donation done for the Kubera pooja is believed to bring prosperity and growth.

Pradosham

Pradosham occurs twice a month and it is believed that if we worship the lord during the Pradosham time, we will be relieved of our sorrows. Pradosha pooja is performed during the particular time between 4 to 6 pm as this was the time when lord Shiva drank the poison. Pradosham is also the time wherein special poojas are conducted for the Nandi and the lord together. Taking part in Pradosham rituals is the best form of religious worship to get rid of the negative energies surrounding us. Worshipping the god on the day of Pradosham is sure to bring grace and positivity.

Types of Pradosham Rituals

  • Chanting – donation can be utilized to arrange the proper pooja kits.
  • Normal archana – donation can be done to collect scared pooja items.
  • Special archana with bilva leaf – donation money will be used to conduct the pooja.
  • Narasimha archana – donation money is used to develop the shrine.
  • Shiva archana – donation will be helpful for the maintenance of the shrine.
