A Brief note about our SAS Trust
- Eraniyur Shri.Atkondanathar Sivapuran Devi Trust
- First of all let us salute and pay our respects to our ancestors, and all our seniors who were instrumental In creating a temple for our clan. It is a sheer poetry in solid rock and only a very few can rival this marvel sculpted to perfection and beauty.
- We are fortunate to inherit such a wonderful piece of architectural temple and we are all filled with gratitude for their vision and dedication to our culture.
- Over the years, due to a combination of factors such as unfair land laws, unfavorable Govt depts., Our Temple's income sources have declined and hence up keep of our huge. Temple has become next to impossible. However all our people have pooled enough money to conduct kumbabishekam regularly as per Agma principles, at a huge cost. We should thank all of them.
- To rejuvenate & regularize our daily poojas and routine maintenance of our temple, viduthi etc.., a few active individuals come forward under the able leadership of Shri. KR. Annamalai Chettiar of Kuruvikondanpatti and decided to form a separate Trust, free from Govt/other interference solely to maintain our Temple's glorious past.
- Initially fifty like minded pangalils have come together and formed a public religious Trust under the name & style Sri Atkondanathar Siva puran Devi Trust each contributing One Lakh rupees each as core fund and unanimously decided to keep this core fund intact in Banks by way of FD's only and utilise the invest income towards running the daily routine at our temple. We have also got 12A registration with IT Dept.
- During the last ten years, we can take legitimate pride in up keeping our temple In a fair manner.
- Our over head expenses such as salary to employees maintenance of our viduthi is increasing day by day.
- Added to that Interest Income from Bank deposit is static and we find it very difficult to meet the ever increasing cost.
- Hence our Trust decided to induct new like minded Pangalils In to our Trust to augment our core fund.
- Our present young members have taken a lead In this regard and so far inducted many highly qualified next Gen people into our Trust each contributing Two Lakh each. Our core fund now exceeds 1 Crore mark and the contribution of skill set by the youngsters is something to be proud of.
- This is a short snapshot of our activities and our actions speak louder than our words.

- PS: There are around 3800 Iraniyur kovil Pullis are there. But I think God has chosen us to serve HIM intimately. God has destined us to be nearer to him spiritually and physically. Let us rise to the occasion and protect, preserve, and promote our enviable monument of glory-ie-our Iraniyur Temple.
